Richard Belluzzo (Microsoft, HP, SGI) appointed Innogest’s partner

TURIN-MILAN, DECEMBER 11 2017 – Richard Belluzzo has been appointed partner by Innogest’s Board of directors. Belluzzo, who in the last three years has worked with Innogest as venture partner in the Silicon Valley, now takes a full time leading role in the investment team.

Belluzzo has developed his career at the highest level in the field of global technological innovation. He worked for Hewlett-Packard for 23 years, becoming executive vice president of the entire Computer Business, then he served as Chairman and CEO at Silicon Graphics. He became Bill Gates’ and Steve Ballmer’s leader for Microsoft’s consumer business until taking up the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of the Seattle Group. Before joining the startup ecosystem, he served as a Quantum CEO for a decade and more recently as CEO and Chairman in Viavi Solution.

Since the beginning of his collaboration with Innogest, Belluzzo has supported the teams of the most mature portfolio startups in the expansion towards international markets, and towards the US in particular. Remarkable has been his contribution as Chairman at Cuebiq, a startup focused in cutting-edge solutions in the field of business intelligence, which is gaining a leading role worldwide in behavioral marketing.

«Rick’s experience has been an exceptional support for the Innogest team and for our portfolio startups in the last few years. Rick has got to know our startups with their weaknesses, of which he is a strict observer and to which he has always looked with the attitude of a patient problem solver, and with their merits, that he has always tried to strengthen with enthusiasm, positivity and method», said Claudio Giuliano, partner and founder of Innogest.

«Rick is an extraordinary person on both professional and human level. We are delighted to have convinced him to take on an even more incisive role in helping not only Innogest, but the entire Italian innovation ecosystem to look forward to international growth opportunities», said Innogest’s partner Stefano Molino.

«I am very excited to be a part of the Innogest team. I look forward to helping to expand and extend Innogest leadership in Italy, as well as in the US», commented Richard Belluzzo.

Innogest is a Venture Capital firm founded in 2006 and based in Turin, Milan, Geneva and San Francisco. It currently manages about €200 million of capital, investing in Digital and Lifesciences innovative companies.
